This is, unfortunately, not a red/green colourblind friendly sketch.
The on-paper angel was created from a silly challenge my partner set me a few years ago. While I don't remember the exact challenge, I remember using cracks on his face and mask being Kintsugi, a Japanese art form where one repairs pottery with gold, silver, or platinum powder on laquer to highlight the damage and so the broken piece is seen as a new type of beauty. As angels are suppoed to be beautiful, I thought using this would be nice symbology. The mask was originally bone, but I ended up pulling from Tin Plate Masks from WWI due to the severe amount of damage a literal fall from grace would cause, further adding to the kintsugi crack symbology. His arm is also damaged and has been replaced with a new metalic prosthetic.
